Life in Christ is saltier than sweet--like Southern tea garnished with a handful of lemon wedges.
Sherry and daughter Kaki in Iquitos, Peru |
- I love The Word of God, The Sneetches, and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.
- I've been married 12 years. I have a 6-year-old daughter and 250 sons, but none are adopted or foster children . . . Hmmm . . .
- I love to laugh
- I hate oatmeal, cold houses, and dealing with unresourceful people (in that order).
- I love that my 6-year-old Kaki thinks "snoze" is the past tense of "sneeze."
- Miss Herman (3rd grade) and Mr. Cartuccio (12th grade) were the first teachers who encouraged me to write, but Mr. Larry Ramsey (junior high drama) was the first teacher who taught me to reach.
- If I had written the story of my life in my twenties, I would have called it Tales of Unrequited Love. In my thirties, I would have called it From One Jungle to Another, and in my forties, The Dimple on Her Right Cheek.
- I'm not sure where to use "parenthesis" versus "parentheses," but I'm absolutely positive McDonald's is spelled with an apostrophe "s."
- I once had to drink a cup of I.V. medicine because there were no needles available at the hospital.

- My husband thinks I'm a superhero.
